If you are unable to add a record, there are two common symptoms to look out for. Use the sections below to identify what is happening and follow the recommended steps to resolve it.
Symptom 1: You Cannot See the Record in the Cog Menu
If the record is not appearing in your cog menu, there are a few possible reasons:
1. You have not been assigned the record - The record exists in the system but has not been assigned to your user. Please contact your system administrator and ask them to assign the record to you.
2. The record has not been created yet - The record may not exist in the system. Please contact your system administrator to have the record created and, if required, linked to the relevant board before trying again.
3. The record has not been linked to the board - The record exists but is not connected to the board. Please contact your system administrator to have the record linked to the board.
4. Your location does not match the record's monitored items - If the location assigned to your record does not match the location of the monitored items, the record will not appear correctly. Please contact your system administrator to review and correct the location settings.
5. Your role does not have the access to records - If your role does not have the access to records, you are not able to view or add any records. Please contact your system administrator to enable your access.
Symptom 2: You Cannot See Any Locations in the Location Selector
If you open the location selector but no options are available, this is likely a permissions issue.
You have not been assigned the correct location - Your account does not currently have access to the relevant location. Please contact your system administrator and ask them to grant you the correct location access.
