Provide a shortcut key for your team

When there is more than one board/calendar, we need to select the specific type in the dropdown list. To enhance convenience for frequently used boards or calendars, it would be ideal to have them available as individual modules in the 9-dot menu.

What is External Gateway

External Gateway is the essential tool we use to create an individual board/calendar. It can provide web-based products or links to forms used by an organisation. You can find it in the configuration:

How to create an individual board/calendar

There are two main steps to create an individual board/calendar: extract the URL and create an internal gateway. Here we are going to give an example of creating Preventive maintenance as an individual board on the 9-dot menu:

  1. Extract the URL:

    • Go to the monitor portal and copy the URL of Maintenance Boards.

    • Go to Smart Boards in the configure portal and click into the board Preventive maintenance, we can see ID number 54 at the end of the URL. That is the unique ID number of Preventive maintenance board.

  2. Create an internal gateway

    • Go to External Gateway in the configuration (the cog icon in the top right-hand corner in the configure portal) and click Add link.

    • Enter the board name, URL, icon code and tick Included On Monitor Navigation Panel.

    • Click Save.

Similarly, you can create an individual calendar on the 9-dot menu following the instructions below:

  1. Extract the unique ID number and add it to the calendar URL: https://monitor.logit.co.uk/Calendars

  2. Create an internal gateway.
