Sharing, Unsharing and Deleting Artifacts Within an Agent

What Are Artifacts?

Artifacts are records of responses generated by certain agents in Trunk Tools. They capture the output of an agentic action and can be shared or unshared with teammates and removed from your own view based on your business needs.

Artifacts help teams reference, collaborate on, and revisit important agent outputs without rerunning the agent.

Which Agents Produce Artifacts?

Artifacts are currently generated by the following agents:

  • Custom Agent

  • TrunkSubmittal (Submittal Review Agent)

  • TrunkReview (Drawing Review Agent)

Artifact Permissions & Ownership

Permissions for sharing and managing artifacts depend on who created them.

Who Can Share or Unshare an Artifact?

Only the owner of the artifact (the person who ran the agent) can share or unshare it. This is the same for every agent.

Who Can Delete an Artifact?

  • Any user who can see a shared artifact in their sidebar can delete it from their own view.

  • Deleting an artifact only removes your copy from the sidebar.

  • Deleting an artifact does not affect other users’ access to the same artifact.

How to Share an Artifact

Step 1: Confirm Project and Agent

Make sure you are in the correct project and that you can see the agent that produced the artifact.

Step 2: Select the Artifact

Click on the artifact you want to share.

Step 3: Click “Distribute”

In the bottom-right corner of the screen, select Distribute.

This shares the artifact with all members of the project.

Step 4: Confirm Distribution

Click Distribute again to confirm.

How to Unshare an Artifact

Step 1: Click “Unshare”

To stop sharing an artifact you own, click Unshare in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

How to Delete an Artifact

Step 1: Delete From Your View

  1. Click the three-dot (ellipsis) menu to the right of the artifact name.

  2. Select Delete.

  3. Click Delete Artifact to confirm.

Note: This only deletes the artifact from your view. It does not remove the artifact for other team members it has been shared with.
