Which products is it related to?

Background Checks and Digital Identity.

What is the feature?

This is a 2FA that validates that the user has more than just the password to log in. Many companies suffer from “share passwords”, and this will help eliminate that risk. Our 2FA will now be used for all of our “front” dashboards. The user will receive an email or sms to validate their log in.

What problems are we solving?

Unwanted access of the personal information available in their accounts is a serious legal and reputational risk for our clients. Password based access is vulnerable to data breaches, password reuse, phishing, and other methods that hackers use to take over accounts.

How to do it? How do I integrate?

In the first version of the feature, this setup will be done at account creation. Existing accounts will be set with optional two-factor authentication, and new accounts will need to tell sales whether they would like mandatory or optional for the login process.

Who needs to decide or take action?

The point of contact at the company who creates the account with Truora needs to decide whether the users will have optional or mandatory MFA. This configuration is set by the customer during account creation. Each user then decides whether to use an authenticator app or sms validation.

What happens if we don’t have this?

Our client suffers the risk of past employees being able to log in, and the risk of shared passwords. Remember that the Truora dashboard grants access to all consults the client has done (history), so to keep their own users safe it is important for them to activate this feature.
