What do the scores by name and by ID mean?
What do the scores by name and by ID mean?

  • Score by name: it is not 100% guaranteed that the process found refers to the person searched, because in it we did not find the ID, only the person's full name. In this case there is the possibility of homonymy.

  • Score by ID: it is 100% guaranteed that the process found refers to the searched person, because in it we found the ID.

At Truora we have several algorithms that seek to optimize and mitigate the risk of homonymy, filtering by birth dates versus criminal or legal record dates.

When a result is by name, there is no way to guarantee that it is or is not from the person searched, since the process does not include the ID to correlate. However, results by name serve to alert that there is a possible trust risk, but it is not 100% guaranteed due to homonymy.

This is not to do with Truora, but rather how the federal government of the country in question files lawsuits.

Our recommendation is to consider the score, by ID or by name, that is most relevant to your company, where 0 represents a very low level of confidence and 10 a very high level. The final decision will always be up to your company.
