What is an Authorization? How does it appear on a shopper’s statement?
Updated over a year ago

An authorization is a hold TryNow places on a shopper’s card for the amount of their order. It’s how TryNow ensures that funds can be captured for kept items at the end of a shopper’s trial (it’s just like a hold that hotels or rideshare apps use!).

The way authorizations display on a shopper’s statement varies by the issuing bank. Typically, authorizations are labeled as “pending” on shopper’s statements OR they will not have a date associated with the charge indicating that the charge has not yet been posted.
