Pencil makes it straightforward for you to revisit previously used prompts. Here we will show how this can be done for an image generation.

First you will need to locate the project you want to know the prompt for:

In this case we will open an Image Generation project and locate the specific image we would like to know the provenance for. Click the three dots on the image and select View Provenance:

You will see the AI model used, the prompt, the negative prompt (if any) and the date the image was generated:

We highly recommend you store and organise your prompts outside of Pencil too, for quick and easy reference, possibly using a spreadsheet or a notes organisation tool.
