A TIN (Tax Identification Number) is a unique identifier assigned to individuals and entities for tax purposes. It is used by tax authorities to track and manage tax records and obligations. In different countries, a TIN can take various forms and names, such as a Social Security Number (SSN) in the United States or a National Insurance Number (NIN) in the United Kingdom.
