How does Uniteam points work?

Uniteam has two types of points: points you give to others and points you redeem for rewards. Here's how they work.

Updated over 5 months ago

🧼 TL;DR:

You have two balances: Giveable points (to recognize others) and Redeemable points (to spend in the rewards shop).

💌 Points to Send (Giveable Points)

These are the points you're given to recognize teammates.

  • You choose who to send them to

  • Once sent, they’re instantly converted into redeemable points for the recipient

  • Used to celebrate great work, milestones, or everyday wins

Example:
If you have 1,000 points, you might send 200 to someone who covered your shift last-minute. That person now has 200 redeemable points they can use in the rewards shop.

🛍️ Points to Spend (Redeemable Points)

These are points you receive—either through recognition or company awards—and can redeem for gift cards or donations.

  • You can’t send these to others

  • They do not expire

  • Can only be used inside the Uniteam platform

Note: If a user leaves the company, unused redeemable points are forfeited. They are not paid out or transferable.

💡 Pro Tip:

Think of Giveable points like a budget for generosity.
Example: Managers might get monthly giveable points to shout out top performance or celebrate team milestones.
