1. Who Can Manage Billing
The Owner and any Admin can manage billing and the subscription. Members cannot. Billing is attached to the workspace itself rather than to an individual person, and therefore continues uninterrupted if ownership is transferred (see Transferring Workspace Ownership).
2. Starting a Subscription
From Settings → Billing, a plan is selected and checkout completed. A payment method is required to begin, including for free trials, so that the subscription continues without interruption once the trial ends.
3. Free Trials
A free trial provides full access for the trial period. A payment method is entered up front; on expiry of the trial, the subscription converts to paid automatically unless cancelled beforehand.
Note: the trial is available once per person. If a trial has already been used on another workspace, a new workspace owned by the same person begins as paid rather than on trial.
4. Managing the Plan
The billing portal, accessible from Settings → Billing, allows the payment method to be updated, invoices downloaded, the plan changed, or seats added. Changes such as adding seats take effect immediately, with the difference charged pro rata for the remainder of the billing period.
5. Restarting After Cancellation
If a subscription has been cancelled or has expired, a new subscription can be started at any time from Settings → Billing. A prior cancellation does not block a subsequent subscription.
6. Frequently Asked Questions

Does a trial convert to a paid subscription automatically? | Yes, unless cancelled before the trial ends. The end date and the price that follows are always displayed in advance. |
