Overview
If a buyer requests a payment extension in Shopgoodwill, you’ll need to verify if the item has already been relisted or recycled/purged before giving the payment deadline extension.
If you extend the payment deadline on an item that Lister has already relisted, you'll need to manually end the relisted item from within Lister to prevent a double sale.
If Lister hasn't relisted an item and the item has not been recycled/purged, you'll be able to extend the payment window without an issue.
This guide walks through the steps needed to safely extend payment deadlines in Shopgoodwill to avoid double sales or selling purged items.

How to Check if an Item is Relisted
When a buyer asks for an extended payment window, search the product in Lister to see if it has been relisted and is active on Shopgoodwill.
Copy the “Seller Private Description” from the Shopgoodwill seller item page
Navigate to Lister>Listings>Shopgoodwill>Open (all)
Paste the “Seller Private Description” into the Private Description search box
If no results are found: The item has not been relisted, and the deadline can be extended
If a result is found: End the active listing within Lister before extending the payment deadline in Shopgoodwill
💡Operational Tip: If Shopgoodwill doesn’t have a Seller Private Description, copy the auction title and paste it to the title search box in the listings manager instead.
How to Check if a Product is Recycled or Purged
Copy the “Seller Private Description” from the Shopgoodwill seller item page
Note: The Seller Private description is the Lister SKU if you have enabled this toggle in your Lister>Admin>Shopgoodwill settings
Paste the SKU into the Product page in Lister
If the product does not appear in Products - All or Products -Recycled, the item may have already been purged and is no longer available for an extended payment window
