Onboarding Guide for Whalar Brand Deals: Non-managed creators

This guide is designed specifically for creators who are not linking their account to a Foam Talent Manager account.

Step 1: Create a Creator account

To register on Foam and apply for Whalar Brand Deals at the same time, please follow these steps:

  1. Enter your preferred email address and create a password, or select Continue with Google/Microsoft.

  2. On the next page, select Creator and click Create an account:

  3. Connect your TikTok or Instagram account.

This step is required to complete the onboarding process.

5. Done! Be sure to click “Next” to complete the sign-up process and start using Foam. Also, let your Whalar Brand Deals team member know once you’ve finished signing up.

If someone at Whalar referred you, add their name to the Whalar Contact field. This will help ensure your application gets the attention it deserves.

Step 2: Complete your Brand Deal Profile page

After the team accepts your application, follow the steps below to complete your brand deals profile.

  1. Log into your account

  2. Select Brand Deals (or Brand Deals Profile)

  3. Next, complete the sections below:

    1. My Profile (required)

    2. Personal Information (required)

    3. Campaign email notifications

    4. Bio (required)

    5. Tags (required)

    6. Indicative Fee

    7. Shipping Address

  4. Done!


Step 3: Complete your Payments page

1. Log in to your Foam account.

2. Select Payments.

3. You'll be prompted to set up a two-step verification – enter your mobile number and click Send code to request a verification code.

4. Input the code received through the message and click Submit. If you didn't receive the code via message, no worries – you'll get it through an automated call within the next 2 minutes.

5. Next, complete the Address page by entering your or your agency's information.

For the Type field, please take note of the option below:

  • If the payment goes to the creator (you) directly, select “Individual”.

  • If the payment goes to your representing agency, select “Company”.

If you select "Company", the following fields become optional: First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name.

6. Complete the Payment Method page: From the dropdown menu, select your preferred payment method and enter your banking details. The payment methods and currencies may differ depending on the country you selected on the Address page (Step 5). Once completed, click Next.

Make sure to check the "Name on Account" field:

  • If the payment type is set to "Individual", the field will automatically include the name you entered in Step 5. No action is required on your side.

  • If the payment type is set to "Company", ensure to modify this field to match the company name added in Step 5.

7. Complete the Tax Forms page: The page will automatically detect your location and request the necessary tax information to comply with the local laws of that country/jurisdiction. Click Next once done.

Please note that completing the VAT section is required to finalize the payment setup.

8. Voila! You should see a confirmation message on your screen:

Step 4: Accept the campaign proposal

1. Log in to your Foam account.

3. Navigate to the Messages tab.

4. Click on the relevant campaign on the left to review the campaign proposal.

5. Review the proposal and click Accept Proposal.
