Using Twain inside Clay with Clay credits
Clay lets you run Twain's deep research directly with Clay credits instead of Twain credits. You still get the full Twain output (personalized messages, subject lines, research insights), and billing happens through your Clay account.
Before you start: Make sure you have a Twain agent set up with at least one campaign. If you're new to Twain, see Getting Started with Twain Agents first.
1. Add the Twain integration in Clay
In your Clay table, create a new column and search for Twain: Generate Sequence.
2. Switch to Clay Managed Account
When you choose to bill through Clay credits, the integration switches from a campaign dropdown to a text field for entering your Twain campaign ID.
3. Find your campaign ID in Twain
Go to your Twain dashboard.
Open the campaign you want to use, click the three-dot menu, and select Copy ID.
4. Paste the campaign ID into Clay
Paste the campaign ID into the integration setup in Clay.
5. Run the enrichment
From here, the integration works the same as a normal Twain setup in Clay.
You'll get personalized outreach copy, research insights, and subject lines, billed via your Clay credits.
