When will I receive my ballot?
Election offices are required to send absentee ballots at least 45 days before the next federal election, which is September 20.
If you requested your ballot by email, then the ballot should arrive right away.
Mailed ballots will take longer to arrive, depending on the postal system in the country where you are located.
How will I receive my ballot?
We strongly suggest you choose to have the ballot delivered to you electronically to avoid the hassle of international mail. It will then be emailed to you.
If you choose to receive your ballot via physical mail, it will be shipped to your foreign address.
After receiving your ballot, you then will either print and mail it back, or depending on the state, return it electronically. You can check with your local election official to determine how to return your ballot. You can look up their contact information here: https://www.usvotefoundation.org/election-offices.
