🧭 Process Overview

This is a high-level overview of the steps partners complete when onboarding a merchant with ValPay.

Sales & Application

  • Discuss merchant needs and payment requirements

  • Review and agree on pricing, fees, and hardware

  • Confirm terminal types and quantities

  • Guide the merchant through completing the application and accepting terms


Application Review & Approval

  • ValPay reviews the submitted application

  • The application also goes through platform-level KYC and compliance checks (including Adyen verification)

  • Approval status can be tracked in the Portal timeline

  • Once approved, the merchant moves to implementation


Implementation & Setup

  • Send or confirm receipt of the merchant welcome email

  • Verify merchant account setup via Portal Onboarding

  • Order terminals (if not already completed)

  • Assign terminals once dispatched


Terminal Installation & Testing

  • Install and configure terminals with the merchant

  • Complete terminal pairing and setup

  • Run a test transaction to confirm processing


Portal Access & Go-Live

  • Identify Merchant Admins with the business

  • Add Merchant Admin users and assign permissions

  • Share the Merchant Help Center link directly, or advise the merchant that once logged into the reporting portal, they can select the support bubble in the bottom right corner to access the help center and search for answers.
