Import events

Guide on how to import multiple events into Vantage using the import tool.

Vantage makes it easy to add multiple events at once using the import tool. This feature is especially helpful when you need to upload a large number of events quickly and efficiently.

Step 1: Open the Import Menu

Go to the Events page and tap the "Import events" button. This will open the Import menu, where you can begin the import process.

Step 2: Fill in Default Fields (Optional)

You’ll see several fields that can be used as default values for all imported events:

  • Event Owner – the person responsible for these events.

  • Collaborators – people who will be notified of updates.

  • Event Type – select the type of event.

  • Client – choose the client associated with these events.

  • Client Contact – the main contact for the client.

  • Project – the project these events belong to.

  • Event Timezone – the timezone in which the events take place.

Note:
Only fill these in if all the events in your import file share the same values. If the file contains events with different owners, clients, or projects, skip this step.

After filling out the optional fields, tap Next to continue.

Step 3: Upload Your Import File

You will now see the file upload section.

  • For best results, download the import template in the page's top-left corner.

  • Fill out the template or use your file, ensuring the column names match Vantage fields.

Once your file is ready, upload it.

Step 4: Map Columns and Finalize

After uploading, check that each column in your file correctly maps to a corresponding field in Vantage.

When everything looks correct, tap Next to complete the import. Your events will now be added to the system.
