Vantage supports MCP (Model Context Protocol), which lets AI assistants like Claude connect directly to your Vantage workspace. Instead of copying and pasting data between tools, your AI assistant can read your events, projects, clients, and more.
What you can do with MCP
With an MCP connection set up, you can ask your AI assistant things like:
"What events do we have scheduled for next week?"
"Show me all open incidents from last month."
"Which projects are currently in the In Progress stage?"
"Summarise the jobs assigned to this vendor this quarter."
The AI reads directly from your Vantage data without you having to export, copy, and paste data between two systems.
Getting connected
Connecting an AI assistant to Vantage via MCP requires a Vantage API token and a supported MCP client, such as Claude for Desktop.

The MCP connection uses the same token-based authentication as the public API. Your data is only accessible to the AI assistant you have connected; it is not shared with anyone else.

Not yet, for now, the connection is read-only. Your AI assistant can read and work with your data, but cannot create or edit anything in Vantage. This is something we are working on.
