A rework reason records why a rework was needed. Anyone creating a rework has to pick one from a list, and as an Admin you control what is on that list for your workspace.

The list combines two sets of reasons: default reasons that Vantage provides to every workspace (Rework, Go back, and Client request), and any reasons added for your workspace.

Adding, editing, and removing reasons

To manage the rework reasons your team can choose from:

Open Workspace Settings from the gear icon at the bottom of the left sidebar.
Go to Events, then open the Rework reasons tab.
Add a new reason, or edit or remove one of your workspace's own reasons.

You can add, edit, and remove your workspace's own reasons. The default reasons provided by Vantage cannot be edited or removed.

Managing rework reasons requires Admin access, like other Workspace Settings pages.

What happens to reworks already created

Editing or deleting a reason affects reworks that already use it:

Renaming a reason applies everywhere the reason is used, including reworks created before the change. The old name is not kept on those reworks.
Deleting a reason removes it from the list, so it can no longer be selected on new reworks. Reworks already created with that reason keep it on record.

FAQ

Can I remove the reasons that came with the system?

The default rework reasons (Rework, Go back, and Client request) are managed by Vantage and cannot be edited or removed in Workspace Settings. You can add your own reasons alongside them.

If I rename a reason, will my old reports still show the old name?

Renaming a rework reason applies retroactively. Every rework using that reason shows the new name, including reworks created before the rename.

Can I change the text shown on the rework confirmation window?

The information text on the rework confirmation window is set by the Vantage team per workspace. It is not editable in Workspace Settings.
