A rework is an event that repeats work from an earlier event, for example a return visit after an install was not finished. Any event can be marked as a rework, whatever its event type.
Reworks replace the previous approach, where a return visit was identified by giving the event the Revisit event type. A rework now keeps the event type of the event it was created from, and is identified by a rework marker instead.
Creating a rework
You can create a rework from three places on the web dashboard:
On the Completion tab, when you approve an event and choose to create a rework.
From the three-dot menu on an event, by selecting Create rework.
From an incident, by linking it to a new event.
In all three cases the steps are the same:
Select a rework reason from the list.
Read the information shown on the confirmation window.
Confirm to create the rework.
The new event copies the details of the original event, the same way duplicating an event does, including its event type. It is marked as a rework and linked back to the event it came from.
Important:
A rework reason is required. You cannot create a rework without selecting one.
Working with a rework
Once an event is a rework, the following applies:
The rework reason is shown at the top of the event, and you can change it at any time.
Each rework created from the same event is labeled with its sequence, R1, R2, R3, in the order the reworks were created.
The original event and the rework can each be opened from the other.
A rework appears in the Related Events section of the original event when it shares the same client, project, and address. If any of those differ, it is not listed there.
Finding reworks in the events list
To find reworks across your workspace, filter the events list:
Go to the Events page.
Open the filter panel.
Filter by rework status (Yes or No), by rework reason, or by both.
Reworks are not marked on the event card in List view or Calendar view. The filter is how you narrow the list down to them.
Note
Lite users (installers) and vendors do not see whether an event is a rework, do not see the rework reason, and do not have the rework filter. Rework information is visible to full users only.

Do I have to change the event type to Revisit to mark a rework?
Do I have to change the event type to Revisit to mark a rework?
You do not need to change the event type to mark a rework. A rework keeps the event type it was created with, and the rework marker is what identifies it.
What happens to the revisit events I created before?
What happens to the revisit events I created before?
Revisit events created before reworks keep their Revisit event type and have no rework reason on record. They are not converted into reworks.
Can I create a rework from the mobile app?
Can I create a rework from the mobile app?
Reworks are created on the web dashboard. On the mobile app you can see that an event is a rework, see its sequence, and change the rework reason, but you cannot create a rework there.
