What Happens If a Customer Doesn’t Receive Their Package?
At The Oblist, ensuring successful deliveries is a priority. However, if a customer reports not receiving their package, our team investigates the issue and coordinates a resolution. Sellers are involved only when necessary.
1. How The Oblist Handles Missing Deliveries
Customer Reports the Issue:
Customers contact The Oblist directly to report a missing package.
This must be done within the timeframe specified in our BuyerProtection™ program.
Investigation Begins:
The Oblist verifies the shipping status using the tracking information provided by the seller.
If tracking shows the package was delivered, additional evidence (e.g., proof of delivery) may be requested from the carrier.
Resolution:
If the package is confirmed lost or undelivered, The Oblist determines the next steps, such as issuing a refund or initiating a replacement.
2. Seller’s Role in Resolving Missing Deliveries
While The Oblist manages customer communication, sellers may need to:
Provide Tracking Information:
Ensure all tracking details are accurate and updated in your seller dashboard.
This allows The Oblist to verify the package’s status with the carrier.
Assist in Filing a Claim:
If the package is confirmed lost, the seller may need to file a claim with the shipping carrier for reimbursement.
Facilitate Replacement or Refund:
In cases where a refund or replacement is necessary, The Oblist coordinates with the seller to complete the process.
3. How to Minimize Risks of Missing Deliveries
Use Approved Carriers:
Choose reliable carriers (e.g., FedEx, DHL, UPS) to ensure consistent tracking and delivery performance.
Provide Accurate Shipping Details:
Double-check customer addresses and package labels to avoid delivery issues.
Purchase Insurance for Valuable Items:
Protect high-value shipments with insurance to reduce financial loss in case of a missing package.
