What ranking takes into account
Relevance — how closely a piece matches the search or the collection.
Availability — in-stock pieces rank above sold-out ones.
Popularity & sales — pieces that earn clicks and sales tend to rank higher.
Recency — newly added and freshly updated pieces get a lift.
The Oblist Ads — featured participation adds ranking weight.
Featured weight is added on top, so it lifts eligible pieces without overriding relevance or availability, and never guarantees an exact position.
The “Featured” label
Boosted pieces show a discreet “Featured” label so buyers know the piece is part of the program. This transparency is intentional (and required).
Premium vs Boost
Premium pieces are placed ahead of Boost-tier pieces in the same results. Within a tier, pieces take turns at the top over time so your featured pieces all get exposure — it’s not always the same piece in front.
Where your pieces appear
Featuring follows each piece automatically: a featured chair rises wherever chairs appear, a featured vase wherever vases appear — there are no collections to configure.
Important
No guaranteed position, clicks, or sales — featuring improves visibility, it doesn’t buy a fixed slot.
A sold-out piece is automatically removed from featuring until it’s back in stock (so you’re never charged a boosted commission on a piece that can’t sell).
