The Featured commitment fee

When you feature a piece through The Oblist Ads, you’re asking us to put it in front of more collectors. In return, you commit to fulfilling the orders it generates.

The rule

If you reject or cancel an order line for a piece that was featured at the time of sale, a €50 Featured commitment fee applies per featured lineeven within the normal rejection window. We promoted the piece, so we ask that it be delivered.

This fee replaces the standard unavailable-product fee for that line (it is not added on top).

When it does not apply

  • The piece was not featured at the time of the sale (a normal, non-boosted line follows the standard rejection rules).

  • A piece that sold out before the order is handled under the normal stock rules — featuring is automatically removed when a piece sells out.

How it’s billed

  • If you have a card on file, the fee is charged automatically.

  • If you don’t (for example, exclusive vendors without a subscription card), you’ll receive a secure payment link to settle it.

  • You can see every fee, its reason, the related order and piece, and its status in the Payments section of your dashboard.

Can it be waived?

Yes. If a rejection was legitimate (for example, an issue on our side), our team can waive the fee. If you believe a fee shouldn’t apply, just reply to the notification or contact support with the order number.

How to avoid it

  • Only feature pieces you can reliably fulfil.

  • If a piece becomes unavailable, update its stock — sold-out pieces are removed from featuring automatically, which avoids new featured orders you can’t honour.
