The Oblist Ads — FAQ

All Frequently Asked Questions About The Oblist Ads

Written by The Oblist

What is a tier?
A tier is the level of featuring you pick. There are two: Boost (+3 commission points) and Premium (+5 points, placed ahead of Boost pieces). The points are added to your commission, charged only on sales of featured pieces, and your total is always capped at 40%. One tier applies to all your featured pieces.

How much does it cost? Nothing upfront and no fixed fee. You pay a slightly higher commission only on the featured pieces that actually sell — always capped at 40%. No sale, no cost.

Do I choose where my pieces appear?
No need. Featuring follows each piece automatically: it rises wherever that piece already appears in searches and collections.

Can different pieces run on different tiers?
No — one tier at a time. The tier you choose applies to every featured piece. If you switch tier, all active pieces move to it (countdowns aren’t reset). Any piece you remove from the selection is paused.

How long does it run?
Up to 30 days, then it ends automatically — there is no auto-renewal. You can re-enrol anytime, or pause earlier.

Can I stop anytime?
Yes. The piece leaves featuring immediately. Orders placed within the next 7 days still settle at the featured commission (they were driven by your placement), never beyond the 30-day maximum; after that, your standard rate applies.

What happens if a piece sells out?
It’s automatically removed from featuring until it’s back in stock — you’re never charged the higher commission on a piece that can’t sell.

What if I reject a featured order?
While a piece is featured, you commit to fulfilling its orders. Rejecting or cancelling a featured order line incurs a €50 Featured commitment fee per featured line, even within the rejection window (in place of the standard unavailable-product fee).

Where do I see my results?
In The Oblist Ads dashboard: clicks, impressions, CTR and attributed sales for your featured pieces, updated daily.

Why don’t I see The Oblist Ads in my dashboard? It’s available to selected vendors only (good standing, enough sales volume, and room under the 40% commission cap). Vendors already at 40% can’t use it. See Who can use The Oblist Ads?.

Does featuring guarantee a top position or more sales?
No. Featuring improves your visibility and adds ranking weight, but relevance and availability still apply and no exact position, click, or sale is guaranteed.

Is it the same as a subscription or an ad budget?
No. There’s no subscription and no budget — it’s success-based: a higher commission only on featured pieces that sell.
