Understanding Tagging in Ventory

Tagging is a powerful feature in Ventory that allows users to group stock locations for better organization and workflow efficiency. By assigning tags, such as "vacant," users can streamline stock management and outbound order creation.

Setting Up Tags for Stock Locations

Follow these simple steps to set up tags :

Step 1 : Navigate to Settings > Company > Advanced Settings

Step 2 : Navigate to “Tags” > “Add”

Step 3 : Add a new tag name (e.g., “vacant”) and select tag type from the dropdown > Click on “Create”

You have successfully created a tag.

Using Tags for Filtering and Order Creation

Additionally, these tags can be used to create outbound orders efficiently:

  • When creating an outbound order, selecting a tag as the stock location will display available stock from all locations assigned with that tag.

  • The product selection, while creating an outbound order, will display the stock available in all "vacant" tagged stock locations.

  • Tags can also be used to Filter orders
