How Hosts Should Communicate with Guests

Best practices for communicating with Vidle Housing guests.

All host-guest communication should be conducted through Vidle Housing’s secure messaging system. This ensures that all conversations are time-stamped, easily accessible, and protected in the event of a dispute or support case.

To message a guest:

  1. Log into your Host Dashboard

  2. Click on the “Messages” tab

  3. Select the reservation and send your message

We encourage hosts to:

  • Reply promptly to guest inquiries

  • Use professional, friendly language

  • Avoid sharing personal contact information off-platform

  • Set up automated messages for check-in, mid-stay, and check-out
