Accepted Payment Methods
Vidle Housing accepts:
Major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
ACH bank payments through Stripe, when available.
All payments are securely processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.
Traveler Processing Fees
Travelers paying by credit or debit card are charged a 3% processing fee.
This processing fee is paid by the traveler and is separate from the host's 12% Vidle Housing fee. Hosts are not responsible for the traveler's 3% processing fee or applicable ACH payment fees.
Any applicable fees are displayed during the booking and payment process.
Payment Methods We Do Not Accept
Currently, Vidle Housing does not accept reservation payments through:
PayPal.
Venmo.
Cash.
Wire transfers.
Payments made directly to the host outside of Vidle Housing.
All reservation payments must remain on the Vidle Housing platform to ensure the booking is properly documented and both parties remain protected.
Why Are Payments Processed Through Vidle Housing?
Keeping payments on-platform provides:
Secure payment processing through Stripe.
Clear documentation of payment history.
Protection in the event of a payment or reservation dispute.
Accurate tracking of reservation balances and host payouts.
Support from the Vidle Housing team if an issue occurs.
Hosts should never request or accept reservation payments outside of Vidle Housing.
Having Trouble Making a Payment?
If your payment is declined or you're unable to complete your reservation, first confirm that your payment information is correct and contact your bank or card issuer if needed.
