Geocoding Records
Updated over a week ago

Records are geocoded using the Geocoder tool, which assigns geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) to addresses. To use the Geocoder, users must have the Vision-e Maps (Geocode) permission set assigned to their profile.

To access the Geocoder:

1. Navigate to the Map page in Salesforce.

2. Click on the Vision-e Geocodes tab.

To geocode records:

1. Select the Object: Choose the object (e.g., Accounts, Contacts, or any custom object) containing the records you want to geocode.

2. Choose a List View: Pick a list view that includes the records you want to geocode. The list view is a filter to display only the records you wish to process.

3. Start Geocoding: Once you’ve selected the object and the desired list view, click the “Geocode Selected Objects” button.

Once the geocoding job is finished, click "Download to Salesforce".
