Getting Started with VisitU: A Guide for Parents

Hello, parents! Welcome to VisitU—a handy app that lets you stay connected with your child's school activities. Whether it's receiving notifications, managing attendance, or completing surveys on behalf of your student, VisitU has got you covered. Let's walk through the basics and get you started!

1. Getting VisitU Mobile:

  • Download the VisitU Mobile App from your preferred App Store: Apple or Google.

2. Logging In:

  • Open the app and log in by entering your phone number or email.

  • A 6-digit code will be sent to you for login.

  • Once logged in, you'll land on the app's home page.

3. Students Tab:

  • Find the "Students" tab at the bottom left. This is your hub for all things related to your students.

  • View your students, take surveys on their behalf, check their activity, and schedule attendance.

4. Scheduling Attendance:

  • To schedule attendance for your student(s), follow these steps:

    1. Select your student.

    2. Tap the attendance button.

    3. In the bottom right, select "Schedule Attendance."

    4. Choose late arrival, early dismissal, or absence.

    5. Fill in details like reason, date, time, and notes.

    6. Select the schedule icon in the bottom right to submit. The school will then approve or deny your request.

  • After scheduling attendance, receive a push notification and email confirming your submission.

5. Surveys:

  • Parents can also take surveys on behalf of their students using the mobile app.

  • From the Students tab, select your child, and tap the "Take Survey" button to complete any due surveys.

6. Notifications Tab:

  • Your notification and alert center is in the bottom right of the app.

  • Get notifications for various activities, including your child's check-ins, tardiness, early dismissals, broadcast or emergency alerts, and completed surveys.
