Welcome to VisitU: A Quick Guide for Students

Hey there, students! Ready to make the most out of VisitU? This nifty app is your all-in-one solution for checking in and out of school, getting important alerts, marking attendance, and even taking surveys. Let's dive into the basics and get you started on the VisitU journey!

1. Checking In:

  • Use the VisitU mobile app or your school's iPad kiosk.

  • If you're using the mobile app, download it from the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store (Google).

  • Log in by entering your phone number or email. A 6-digit code will be sent to you for login.

  • Once in the app, head to the iPad kiosk, lift your phone so the iPad's camera can scan it, and complete the check-in. Some schools might have instant check-in with just a QR code scan!

2. iPad Kiosk:

  • If your school uses the iPad kiosk only, follow the on-screen buttons, likely starting with "students."

  • Verify your identity by entering your name or scanning your QR code badge using the iPad's selfie camera.

  • Complete the check-in process using on-screen buttons and prompts.

3. Attendance:

  • Similar to check-in but with a twist. Choose from VisitU's four attendance statuses: Tardy, Dismissed, Absent, or Present.

4. Surveys:

  • Some schools have check-in surveys, usually about health. Fill them out after verifying yourself.

  • Surveys can come in various forms—dropdowns, text boxes, or checkboxes.

  • On the mobile app, select the "Surveys Due" tab on the home page, answer the questions, and hit submit.

5. Notifications Tab:

  • Find it in the bottom right of the app—it's your notification and alert center.

  • Get alerts for all kinds of activities, including emergencies.

  • During emergencies, you'll also receive an SMS/text. Follow the instructions carefully!

That's it! With VisitU, you're all set to breeze through your school routines. If you ever need help, refer back to this guide. Happy navigating!
