How do I connect my Sibionics GS3 sensor to the Vively app?

Follow the steps below to connect your Sibionics GS3 CGM sensor to the Vively app and start seeing your glucose data.

Before you begin

Before connecting your Sibionics GS3 sensor to Vively, please make sure you have:

Both apps and accounts are required for your GS3 sensor to activate and for data to flow through to Vively.


1️⃣ Apply and activate your GS3 sensor

Before connecting to Vively, make sure your GS3 sensor is properly set up.

  • Apply the GS3 sensor to the back of your upper arm, following the instructions provided

  • Open the Sibionics app and activate the sensor

  • Allow the 60-minute warm-up period to complete

During the warm-up period, glucose readings won’t appear. This is normal.


2️⃣ Confirm readings are visible in the Sibionics app

Before connecting to Vively:

  • Open the Sibionics app

  • Check that glucose readings are appearing

If readings are not visible in the Sibionics app, they won’t appear in Vively yet.
Please wait until readings are showing before continuing.


3️⃣ Connect your GS3 sensor to the Vively app

Once your sensor is active:

  1. Open the Vively app

  2. Go to the Track page

  3. Tap “Set up your sensor”

  4. Follow the on-screen steps to connect your GS3 sensor

Once connected, your glucose data will begin syncing into Vively automatically.


4️⃣ Check Bluetooth and phone settings

GS3 sends glucose data automatically via Bluetooth. Please ensure:

  • Bluetooth is turned on

  • Your phone is within 10 metres of the sensor

  • Both the Sibionics app and Vively app are allowed to run in the background


If data stops updating temporarily

If the Sibionics app loses its Bluetooth connection to the sensor, glucose data may stop flowing through to the Vively app.

In most cases, this is easy to resolve:

  • Simply open the Sibionics app

  • This re-establishes the Bluetooth connection

  • Data will then resume syncing into Vively automatically

No re-setup is required.


5️⃣ Refresh the Vively app

If you’ve just connected your sensor and don’t see data immediately:

  • Go to the Track page in the Vively app

  • Pull down on the screen to refresh

  • Wait a few minutes and check again

Small delays can occur shortly after first connection.


6️⃣ Still not seeing data?

If you’ve completed all the steps above and your data still isn’t appearing:

Please email contact@vively.com.au and include:

  • Confirmation that you’re using Sibionics GS3

  • When the sensor was applied

  • A screenshot showing readings in the Sibionics app

  • A screenshot of the Track page in the Vively app

This helps us quickly identify where the connection may be breaking down.


Important notes

  • GS3 does not require scanning at any stage

  • Once connected, glucose data syncs automatically via Bluetooth


In summary

  • Apply and activate your GS3 sensor

  • Wait for the 60-minute warm-up

  • Confirm readings appear in the Sibionics app

  • Connect your sensor via the Vively app

  • Keep Bluetooth enabled and refresh if needed
