All Projects need activity to drive outcomes. And all too often projects become stagnant because there is not enough governance validating and monitoring the level of activity and engagement. As a Project Owner we also know the challenges that come with staying on top of and overseeing multiple projects. Which is why we created Project Check-ins for Vizibl Projects: an easy and automated way of ensuring your projects are managed and maintained so they have the highest probability of success.

In order to use this feature, please contact your Vizibl Company Admin who can enable this feature.

Project Check-ins

Navigate to Workspace > Check-ins in the top navigation bar.

In this tab, all projects that you own and are due for check-in will be listed along with their key project details. You can review all projects individually -or- choose to check in all projects at the same time. You have plenty of time, so make sure the individual details are correct.

Check-ins are due either monthly or weekly, as configured by your company admin, and a reminder email will be sent out to the project owners in plenty of time before the end of the month.

Checked-in projects will be marked in the All Check-ins tab in grey along with the due date of the next Check-in.

When a project is checked in an entry will be made in the projects progress log. Checking in a project is therefore a good opportunity to add a new status comment and keep your team updated on the progress.

The length of time a check-in will be valid for depends on the frequency configured for the project template. For a full overview of the rules and different scenarios surrounding check-ins please refer to this example graph of a project template that is configured to be checked in monthly:

Reporting & Check-ins

If you need an overview of the check-in status of all projects in your organization, you can set up a reporting widget to get this information. Here you can see the status of all projects in your relationships that require check-ins, regardless of whether you're the owner or not. You can also split the data for other project-related widgets to see their check-in status. Please note that these options are only available for dashboards of the project type.
