Vizibl Projects enable powerful collaborative workspaces to help engage the relationship. The benefits of projects are best explained in three ways:
Project Roadmap Activities, Attachments & Discussions provide a single workspace to share and collaborate around a single idea or initiative.
Project Stage and Statuses provide structure and direction in the steps you need to take to deliver a successful project.
Project Check-ins provides a light-touch simple governance to make sure your projects are kept active and are relevant to your company goals.
Value Trackers, to track the return on and new value being targeted and being achieved helping you justify time and resources spent.
Create a new project
To add a new project, navigate to Workspace in the main navigation and click on "Add project" to open the form:
Select the relationship in which you want to create the project. This can not be edited once the project is created, so make sure you choose correctly.
The project name should be brief and informative. Team members or stakeholders involved in the project should be able to easily grasp what the project is about when they receive a notification regarding the project or view it in a list.
The project description should be a concise statement of what goals need to be achieved during the course of the project.
Strategic objectives defined in a relationship's Account Plan can be linked to any project in that relationship. If the aim of your created project is to realize one of these objectives make sure to link it to help track these goals.
Select the project start and end dates. These dates can easily be edited if circumstances change during the course of the project.
Select the owners assigned to manage the project. By default this will be you, the project creator, but can be changed to anyone else in your organisation. At least one project owner from either side of the relationship is required.
Select a project template for the project. Templates are set up by your Company Admin. A project template outlines the stages, tags, tag rules and statuses the project must adhere to during its lifetime.
7a. Once you have selected a project template you can add tags. If the template does not have any tag rules defined, you can freely choose and tags you wish.
7b. If the template has tag rules defined, select tags from each group until they meet the criteria. A green tick next to the tag group indicates the criteria have been met.
Add any attachments needed for the project outcome and progress. To see which file types are supported, please see the Projects: Manage Attachments & Discussions section.
Optional: By adding privacy the project will only be visible to you and those you add to the Project directly. Private projects will be hidden from most dashboards and reports as well as by search.
Create your project!
Duplicate a Project
By duplicating an existing project you will copy some basic project information including templates and tags. After duplicating the project you can update any fields. Please note that any roadmap activities (events, tasks, milestones, surveys) created in the old project will not be duplicated.
Edit a Project
From the project page, use the "Edit Project" button. This will open the `Edit project` window with all the fields available in the Create Project window available for editing.
Delete a Project
When needed, you also have the option to fully delete a project. Simply click on the "Delete Project" button which will open the confirmation prompt. To minimize the risk of deleting a project by accident, you're required to type in `Delete` (case-sensitive) before confirming. The project's milestones will be deleted along with the project, however, all of the other project activities (events, tasks, surveys) will be unlinked from the project and remain on Vizibl. If you'd like to delete any of these with the project, you will need to delete them separately, preferably before deleting the project itself.
