Overview
GoVo is a digital volunteering platform developed by the Royal Voluntary Service to make it easier for people in the UK to find and sign up for volunteering opportunities. As you’ve already created your opportunities on Volunteero, expanding your reach is simple: you can now integrate and post your Volunteero opportunities on GoVo to attract more volunteers, while all applications continue to flow into your Volunteero submissions page, keeping one single source of truth. Please note: this is UK only. GoVo is a UK Volunteer marketplace. Only opportunities in the United Kingdom will be published.
How do I set up this integration?
Please go to the Integrations & API section on your management dashboard
Please select Integrate with GoVo
3. Select Configure.
4. Toggle Enable integration and enter your GoVo API token. You can get your API token from your GoVo dashboard. Make sure to select connect.
5. You are now connected to GoVo. Double check if it now shows as connected.
How do I post my opportunities onto GoVo?
Once Volunteero is connected to GoVo, you can begin publishing your opportunities directly to GoVo.
Please note: if you are already posting opportunities on GoVo and then also post the same opportunities via Volunteero, duplicate listings will be created.
All opportunities posted through Volunteero will use the application forms you’ve set up in Volunteero, and all submissions will flow back into Volunteero, making Volunteero your single source of truth for managing applications.
Go to your Opportunities dashboard.
Add a new opportunity or open an already existing opportunity. Click here for an article on how to create a Volunteero opportunity.
Please note:
if your opportunity is onsite or hybrid, your opportunity must have a postcode.
GoVo only supports onsite and remote. Hybrid automatically defaults on GoVo to onsite.
GoVo only supports one location per opportunity. If your Volunteero opportunity has multiple locations it will only pick the top UK address of your locations listed.
3. Select Publish to GoVo and make sure to apply changes.
