Here are important information and rules you should follow if you plan to write a guest posts for Volunteer World.

We're thrilled when writers want to collaborate with us and contribute excellent content to our blog. Our main objective is to provide our readers with useful information that is a joy to read and will inspire their travels. This is why we have set up the following guidelines for guest blogging.

High Relevance

The content needs to fit our common theme, be informative, fun to read and resonate with our readers. Our readers are people who love to travel and contribute - keep this in mind while creating content.

Excellent Quality

  • Content should be free of grammar or spelling mistakes

  • Use active sentences, avoid cliches and be as specific as possible in your writing

  • Blog posts should be around 1,500 words

  • Avoid using difficult words or long sentences

  • We love high quality media, which improve the article

  • Relevant external links are welcome, but we don't allow advertising

Unique Content

All content is unique and must not been published anywhere else before. You can link to your personal blog within the article. We do not accept professional guest bloggers from SEO/marketing agencies.

  • All content should be related to meaningful travel, volunteering or internships abroad

How to send in a guest blog post

  1. Submit a topic proposal including a headline of the blogpost to: helpcenter@volunteerworld.com or get in touch with our Live Chat team

  2. We will respond regarding whether this topic fits our Blog

  3. Send us your unique blog post + short personal bio (2 sentences) helpcenter@volunteerworld.com 

  4. We assess your content 

  5. You'll be informed about whether we'll publish your content or not

We give you credit for the guest contribution. We mention your name when we share your article with our community. However, for legal reasons all rights to the content must be transferred to us.
