We'll walk you through it in this article. We do our best to make Volunteer World as easy to use as possible so that you can find what you need instinctively.💡 Also, don't hesitate to ask us for help!

🔍 We recommend having a look at all our articles to find out if there is an article that could solve your problem before taking any further steps. Just enter a keyword to find the right article - quick and easy! I recommend you also check this specific article about mediation and support which might also be helpful.

If you have already found your volunteer program and have questions about it, we advise you to contact its coordinator first. She/he will give you all the details you need, and help you organize your stay.

Click on "Contact Coordinator" on the program page to contact him/her at the bottom of the program page: To use the 'Contact Coordinator' button, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Volunteer World account.

  2. Navigate to the specific program page you are interested in.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue 'Contact Coordinator' button to send your message. The coordinator will assist with your inquiries, such as tasks, requirements, or additional services related to the program.

👉 Your message will be sent directly to the organization's inbox on Volunteer World and you will normally receive a response within two to three working days. If you have submitted your application or booked a trip, you can follow up on its status:

  • Message History: If the coordinator has already sent you a message, go to your inbox by selecting 'Details' on the application or booking. Then, click 'Message your coordinator' to continue the conversation.

  • Approval Notifications: Your application needs to be approved by the host organization. Most organizations respond within 2-3 business days, but some may take longer. If no response is received within a week, you can ask Volunteer World to send a reminder to the coordinator.

If your project coordinator does not respond promptly:

  • Check your inbox for any updates or missed messages.

  • Contact Volunteer World’s support for help in reaching out to the coordinator. These alternate strategies help ensure that your queries are addressed in a timely manner.

In any case, you can always send an email to helpcenter@volunteerworld.com or get in touch with our support team via our live chat.

Our personal support team is always happy to help you with any problems that might arise. Don't hesitate to ask us!

Summary: You can contact your project coordinator on Volunteer World using the 'Contact Coordinator' button for general inquiries. Follow up through the message history feature or reminders if updates are delayed after booking or application. When necessary, engage with Volunteer World's support team for additional help. These steps ensure effective communication for a smooth volunteering experience.
