Overview
This article explains how to create a new 3D Slide in your 3D Presentation and add objects that have been processed through the File Uploader. Supported object types include drillholes, block models, geophysics, geochemistry, DORA Experiments, and more.
Note: Only files with Accepted status appear in the Asset List when building a 3D Slide. If an object is missing, check its status on the Files page. Learn more about your File Status.
Step by Step Instructions
Create a New 3D Slide
Open your 3D Presentation.
Click + Add Slide in the top-left corner.
Select 3D.
Select the asset you want to use on this slide.
Click Continue.
A new 3D Slide will load. Topography and property boundaries are added automatically.
Add Objects to your 3D Slide
Click Edit 3D Slide in the top right. The following panels will appear:
Asset Files panel (top left): Contains all processed files and available objects.
Objects in Model panel (top right): Shows objects currently added to the slide.
In the Asset Files panel, open a folder
Click the + icon beside the asset you want to add.
The asset will appear in the Objects in Model panel and load into the scene.
Repeat as needed.
Customize Specific Asset Types
The following asset types are available in 3D Slides:
Topography
Property Boundaries
Drillholes
Block Model
Geochemistry
Geophysics
3D Objects
Predict (DORA) Experiments
Add a Label (optional)
You can add a label to help describe or highlight key information.
Click the Place a label icon in the top middle of the slide
Left click on where you want the label to anchor
Click the pencil icon to edit the label:
Enter your label title and body copy
Format your font style and size
Click Save Settings
Highlight an Object (optional)
Draw attention to specific objects in your scene by applying a configurable glow effect.
Click on the 3D Object title to open the Properties panel
Select the Highlight want to add an outline to the object
Click the Highlight icon in the top center toolbar to open the Highlight settings panel
Customize the highlight colour, spread, and intensity
Click Apply.
Additional Tips
Duplicate a slide to reuse layout and assets when creating similar views
Add only the layers needed to support your message
Too many visible layers can reduce clarity
Preview your slide in Present mode before sharing
