How do I change the team owner?

If you're the team captain and you're transferring your subscription to another member, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the “Team” tab.

  2. Click the dropdown menu next to your team’s name.

  3. Click “Leave the Team”. A window appears in the centre of the screen.

  4. Select the member who takes over as captain, then click “Continue”.

  5. A confirmation window opens. Click “Transfer ownership” to confirm.

💡 Good to know
Only the subscription can be transferred. Personal data (prospect lists, campaigns, message templates, etc.) will not be transferred when changing captains.

What happens after confirmation?

  1. A request is sent to the selected member. This member must:

    • Accept the request from the "Team" tab.

    • Enter their bank details if necessary to become the new captain.

  2. Your status will automatically change to "Member", and you will lose your captain rights.

  3. All invoices associated with the former captain will be transferred to the newtain.

💡 Good to know (from the future captain's account):

  • If the future captain has never entered bank details on Waalaxy, they will be required to provide them to become captain.

  • If they have previously entered bank details, these will be pre-filled but can be modified before accepting the captain role.
