Ticket Time Display on Queue Page

How to modify what time value is displayed next to all tickets in queue

Written by Lucas Vander Meulen

Overview

The Ticket Time Display setting allows you to choose what time value appears on the right side of each ticket while it is in a waiting stage.

There are three display options available:

• The total time the ticket has been waiting (default)

• The amount of time the ticket has been in the current waiting stage

• Estimated wait remaining

Note: The total time the ticket has been waiting is selected by default for all locations.

Where to Find It

This setting is located in the Workflow section of your Location Settings:

1. Navigate to Settings in the left-hand navigation menu.

2. Under Workflow, select Queue Page.

3. Scroll down to the Ticket Time Display section.

Configuring the Setting

Under the Ticket Time Display heading, you will see a dropdown selector with the following prompt:

"Choose what time value is displayed on the right side of the ticket when in waiting stages."

Select one of the three options from the dropdown:

• The total time the ticket has been waiting — Shows the cumulative time since the ticket was created. This is the default setting.

• The amount of time the ticket has been in the current waiting stage — Shows only the time since the ticket entered its current stage.

• Estimated wait remaining — Shows how much time is estimated to remain before the ticket is served, based on queue position and average serve times.

Note: The first option (total time the ticket has been waiting) is the default and will be pre-selected for all locations unless changed.

What It Looks Like on the Queue

Once configured, the selected time value will appear on the right side of each ticket card in the queue while it is in a waiting stage. Below is an example with Estimated wait remaining selected — each ticket shows an "Est:" value based on its position in the queue.

Note: Estimated wait times are calculated based on queue position and historical average serve times. Locations with multiple queues will calculate estimates per-queue, so a ticket near the front of a shorter queue may show a lower estimated wait than one further back in a busier queue.
