WaitWell allows you to assign custom icons to your Service Types, Queues, and Categories to enhance the visual experience on the customer-facing site. Icons help customers quickly identify the service they are looking for and give your customer site a more polished, branded appearance.
You can choose from a library of over 4,000 icons and set a custom color for each icon. Icons can be configured independently for each Service Type, Queue, and Category.
Where Icons Appear
Once configured, icons will display on the customer site in the following locations:
Next to Queue names under the "Select the line you want to join" section
Next to Service Type names under the "Book Appointment" section
Next to Category names when displayed on the customer site
Note: Icons assigned to Service Types will appear on the main customer-facing page. They do not appear inside ticket intake forms.
Setting an Icon on a Service Type, Queue, or Category
The steps below apply to Service Types, Queues, and Categories — the process is the same for each.
In the Staff App, navigate to Queues & Services and select Service Types, Queues, or Categories.
Open the item you want to edit by clicking on its name.
Under the General tab, locate the "Color for icon on customer site" and "Icon" fields.
Click Change next to the Icon field to open the icon picker.
Browse or search through the library of over 4,000 icons, then select the icon you want to use.
Set the desired color for the icon using the color field (accepts hex values).
Save your changes. The icon will now appear on the customer site for that item.
Note: You can set a different icon and color for each Service Type, Queue, and Category. There is no requirement to add icons to all items — you can apply them selectively.
Viewing Which Items Have Icons Assigned
The Service Types list view includes an Icon column, making it easy to see at a glance which Service Types have an icon applied. Items without an icon assigned will show an empty value in that column.
Categories
Categories now have their own dedicated navigation item under Queues & Services in the Staff App sidebar, making them easier to find and manage. Along with icon support, the Categories settings interface has been improved for a better experience.
Removing an Icon
To remove an icon from a Service Type, Queue, or Category:
8. Open the item in its settings panel.
9. Under the General tab, locate the Icon field.
10. Click the trash/delete icon next to the Icon field to remove the assigned icon.
11. Save your changes.
