Integrating Apple Health is crucial for Wakeout’s functionality, as it reviews your physical activity to determine your sedentary habits. Without this connection, your Wakeout experience will be significantly limited. We highly recommend granting Wakeout all necessary permissions. Rest assured, all data is handled with the utmost care to ensure privacy and protection.
Setting Up Apple Health Connection
During the setup process, you’ll be asked to “Turn On” all permissions required by Wakeout. This will automatically open the Apple Health permission prompt. Tap on “Turn On All” to grant the necessary permissions.
Getting a Warning That Apple Health Isn’t Connected
If Wakeout doesn’t have the appropriate Apple Health permissions, you might receive a warning. To resolve this, follow these steps:
1. Go to Wakeout’s settings and ensure that Apple Health is connected. If not, switch it on.
2. Open the Apple Health app. Tap on your profile picture at the top right, then tap on “Apps and Services.” Scroll down to Wakeout, tap it, and then tap on “Turn On All.”
Data Isn’t Syncing with Apple Health
If you’ve connected Wakeout to Apple Health but notice that some movement data isn’t syncing, please delete and reinstall Wakeout.
Wakeout will track steps, active/exercise minutes, Wakeouts completed, Stand Minutes, and Active Energy. These metrics are used to calculate your Sedentary Index and Wakeout Watts.
