How do I set up appointment windows?

Let clients book an arrival window, like Morning, instead of an exact time.

Appointment windows let clients book an arrival window, like "Morning, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM", instead of an exact time. They're told you'll arrive any time within the window.

Add an appointment window

  1. From Home, tap the menu button in the top right.

  2. Scroll down and tap Appointment windows. On iPad, it's in the sidebar under Company.

  3. Tap the + button.

  4. Give it a name, like "Morning".

  5. Tap the times to set when the window starts and ends.

  6. Under Days available, tap the days it can be booked.

  7. Tap the ✓ to save. It needs a name, at least one day, and an end time after its start time.

Turn windows on for clients

  • Turn on Use appointment windows for clients when they book. Clients then choose a window for each date instead of a time. You need at least one window before you can turn it on.

  • Turn on Only show windows with enough time for the booking to hide a window once your bookings in it leave too little room for the service.

  • Both switches save as soon as you tap them.

Use a window on your own bookings

  • When you book or edit an appointment, tap Window on the time row and choose a window. You can do this whether or not windows are turned on for clients.

  • The appointment moves to the start of the window, and your client is told you'll arrive between the window's start and end.

  • Tap the window again to change or remove it.

Good to know

  • A client's booking takes up the whole window until you change its time. With "Only show windows with enough time" on, that window then stops being offered.

  • Windows aren't limited by your working hours, and the travel buffer isn't applied to them.

  • Boarding, overnight stays and other stays don't use windows.

  • To edit or delete a window, tap it in the list. Deleting your last window turns windows off for clients.

  • Only admins and sub-admins can change these settings.
