Here's how to have Walkies create the invoice at the moment you book an appointment. It's the way to bill up front, for example for boarding or a block of walks.
Invoice when you book
Tap Appts and choose the day.
Tap the + button and choose Appointment. On iPad, the + is at the top of the list.
Choose the pets, the service and any add-ons, tapping Next after each.
Check the date and time and tap Next.
Scroll down to Invoice and tap Type.
Choose When booked and tap the ✓.
Check the Due date, Deposit and Payment method rows that appear.
Tap the ✓ to book it. The invoice is created straight away and sent to your client.
What the invoice covers
One invoice per client, covering every date and time in the booking.
For a repeating appointment, that's every visit up to the repeat end date, in one invoice.
Travel, tip and discount are charged for every visit.
The due date is the one on the appointment, or the first visit plus your due date offset (7 days if you haven't set one).
Good to know
When booked can only be chosen while booking, or when accepting a client's request. For a request, the invoice is created when you tap Accept.
A payment method is needed. Walkies won't book it without one.
Changing the appointment afterwards doesn't change the invoice. Edit the invoice itself.
If you delete the appointment, the invoice is kept. You're offered Delete appointment and invoice if it hasn't been paid.
Once the invoice exists, the invoice type can't be changed.
Make it your default
The invoice type starts from the client's Preferred billing, then your company's. To set your company's, go to Menu > Invoices > Preferred billing. Changing it only affects appointments you book from then on.
