Where can I use Walkies?

Walkies on iPhone, iPad, Android, the web, Apple Watch and widgets, plus where clients use Journal.

You can use Walkies on iPhone, iPad, Android and in a web browser, with extras for Apple Watch, widgets and Siri. Your clients use the Walkies Journal app, on iPhone, iPad, Android or the web.

For you and your team

  • iPhone and iPad: the full Walkies app, for running your business and tracking walks and visits.

  • Android: the full Walkies app, on Android 8.0 or later.

  • Web browser: sign in to Walkies on your computer to manage appointments, clients, invoices, messages, reports, payroll and your website. You can install it as a desktop app. You can't track walks in a browser, so use your phone for those.

  • Team members: sign in with their own account on any of these. On the web they see their appointments, activities, expenses and travel logs. See What can team members see and do?

On iPhone

  • Apple Watch: while you're tracking a walk on your iPhone, your watch shows the timer, booked time and distance. Tap to add pees and poops for each pet. Start and end walks on your iPhone. See How do I start and end a walk?

  • Live Activities: your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show the timer while an activity is running, plus the distance for walks, hikes, runs, taxis and trips. For walks, add pees and poops from the Lock Screen.

  • Widgets: start an activity, pick up or drop off, see your appointments, today's completed activities and pet birthdays. Admins also get widgets for unpaid invoices and quick actions, like adding an expense.

  • Control Center: controls to open Walkies or add an expense, on iOS 18 or later.

  • Siri and Shortcuts: add a pee or poop to your walk, or check today's appointments or your next one. These work in English.

On Android

  • Widgets: the same home screen widgets as on iPhone.

  • Quick Settings: tiles to open Walkies or add an expense.

  • Walk notification: while you're tracking a walk, add pees and poops from the notification.

For your clients

  • Walkies Journal app: on iPhone, iPad and Android. Clients see their reports and photos, book, pay and message you. See Getting started with the Walkies Journal app

  • On the web: clients can sign in to Walkies Journal in a browser to see appointments and reports, pay invoices, sign contracts, book and message you.

  • Do they need it? No. Clients can get everything by email, including appointments, walk and visit reports and invoices, with links that open in a web browser. See What is the Walkies Journal app?

Good to know

  • Offline: the app keeps working without signal, and your changes sync when you're back online. Deleting appointments and setting up Walkies Pay need a connection.

  • There isn't a Wear OS app.

  • If you ask clients to pay when they book, they need to book in the app, not the web.
