When you or a client sends a message that's only a link, Walkies shows a preview card in its place, like Messages on iPhone: the site's picture, the page's title and the website's address.
What it looks like
A link on its own: the card takes the place of the message, so you see the preview instead of the link.
A link with other text: there's no card. The message shows as usual, with the link underlined so you can tap it.
The site's picture fills the top of the card. Under it are the page's title and the website's address, on a color taken from the site.
If the site has no picture, the card is smaller, with a globe.
If the page has no title, the card shows the website's address.
When it appears
The preview is made once the message is sent. While it loads, a smaller card shows the website's address, then it turns into the full card.
If a site doesn't share a preview, the link shows as plain text you can tap.
Messages with photos, videos or GIFs don't get a card. Their links can still be tapped.
Using the card
Tap the card to open the link.
The card has the same menu as any other message. Copy copies the link.
You can't remove a preview from a message.
Good to know
Your client sees the same card in the Walkies Journal app.
Walkies makes the preview, so the site isn't visited from your client's phone until they tap the card.
It works on every Walkies plan.
