Messages in the Walkies Journal app shows who sent each message, and when, like Messages on iPhone.
Who sent it
Your pet sitter's messages: the first name of the person on their team who sent it, or the business name. If their team has more than one person, it also shows the first letter of the surname, like "Sam S." for Sam Smith.
Your messages: your first name. If two owners in your household use the app, it also shows the first letter of each surname, like "Alex P.", so you can each see whose message is whose.
The name shows once, above the first of several messages in a row from the same person. It shows again when someone else writes, or after a date and time.
Some older messages show the business name, or your household's names, instead.
When it was sent
A date and time sits in the middle, above the first message of each day, and above any message sent an hour or more after the one before.
Today and yesterday show as "Today" or "Yesterday" and the time, like "Today 4:53 PM".
Earlier in the week shows the day, like "Monday 7:02 PM".
Older messages show the date, like "Sat, Oct 17 at 3:31 PM", with the year if it isn't this year.
Times follow your phone's 12-hour or 24-hour setting.
The last message
Under the last message, you'll see when it was sent, like "Today 4:53 PM".
If it's yours, it also shows whether your pet sitter has seen it: Delivered, or Read once they've opened it, like "Read Today 4:53 PM".
Good to know
Your pet sitter sees the same names, dates and times in their Walkies app.
