Connect Zoom to Walla

Follow these steps to integrate Zoom into your Walla accounts so you can start hosting livestream services.

Livestream is for classes, appointments, and enrollments. Livestream services are hosted using Zoom as a third party integration.

☝️ Important: In order to connect your Walla account to Zoom, you must have a Zoom Pro account. If you do not currently have a Zoom Pro account, please signup here prior to taking the next steps.

Step 1: Connect Your Zoom Pro Account to Walla

  1. Log out of your Zoom account to start

  2. Select your profile icon on the top right, then select Business Settings

  3. Scroll down to Third Party Apps

  4. Select Manage on the Livestream tile

  5. Choose Install Zoom. This will launch the Zoom login screen.

  6. Login to Zoom. Once you enter the credentials associated with your Zoom Pro account, the permissions you are granting Walla will be listed.

  7. Select Authorize

Under Business Settings on the Livestream Settings tile, your Zoom Status will be listed as Active.

How do I know if I have a Zoom Pro account?

You can check your Zoom account type by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to Zoom.US

  2. Select Admin

  3. Choose Account Management

  4. Select Billing

  5. Under Current is your Zoom plan type

  6. Verify the plan is a Zoom Pro account

Step 2: Configure Livestream Settings

Livestream Settings will be applicable to all studio locations and livestream services, any updates made to these settings will be instantly applied.

  1. Select your profile icon located at the top right, then navigate to Business Settings

  2. Scroll down to Third Party Apps.

  3. Choose on Manage associated with the Livestream tile, and scroll down to access the Configuration section

  4. Select the edit pencil next to settings

  5. Make desired changes

  6. Save


Max Participants

Define the maximum number of participants for Livestream sessions, ensuring flexibility across all service types.


Use Waiting Room

Opt to employ the waiting room feature, granting hosts control over participant entry across appointments, enrollments, and classes.


Allow Participants to Join Before the Host

Specify if participants can join sessions before the host arrives, offering a seamless experience for all Livestream services.


Automatically Mute

Set whether participants are automatically muted upon joining, promoting a focused and organized Livestream environment universally.


Automatically Record

Decide if Livestream sessions, including appointments, enrollments, and classes, should be automatically recorded for future reference.


Auto-email Recording

Enable automatic email distribution of recordings to participants, enhancing post-session engagement consistently.


Display Clients As

Customize how participant names are displayed during Livestream sessions, providing a cohesive experience across appointments, enrollments, and classes.


Send Link to Class (Minutes) Before Class Begins

Schedule when participants receive the Livestream link before appointments, enrollments, or classes start.


Step 3: Verify Zoom Settings

Verify your time zone in Zoom

It will be in the same time zone listed under Locations in your Walla site. You can check your Zoom account timezone by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to Zoom.US.

  2. Select Profile, then choose personal

  3. Select the edit pencil next to timezone

When a livestream begins

  • The host video will always default to ON
    ​

  • The participant video will always default to OFF
    ​

  • Personal Meeting ID (PMI) to schedule a meeting will always be OFF
    ​

  • Muting participants upon livestream entry will always default to ON

During a livestream (Basic)

  • Play sound when attendees join or leave will always be (and can only be heard by the host) ON
    ​

  • Co-host will always be ON
    ​

  • Showing the meeting control toolbar will always be ON
    ​

  • Screen sharing for host only will always be ON
    ​

  • Annotation will be OFF
    ​

  • Whiteboard will be OFF
    ​

  • Nonverbal feedback will be OFF
    ​

  • Allowing removed participants to rejoin will be OFF
    ​
    ​

During a livestream (Advanced):

  • The far end camera control will be OFF
    ​

  • Group HD video will be OFF
    ​Turning this ON will improve your video quality but could cause connection issues for clients/participants, resulting in poor connectivity, freezing, etc.
    ​

  • Allowing users to select original sound in client settings will be ON
    ​

  • Ability for participants to join from browser via link will always be OFF
    ​

Zoom email notifications

  • Cloud recording availability will be ON
