Get started on your Walla App Branded App process by registering as an Apple Developer and inviting Walla as your publishing partner

Updated over a week ago

To get started with the Apple Developer Program, you'll need to complete the registration steps and provide the necessary information. Please note that there is an annual enrollment fee of $99 USD, which is separate from your Walla Branded App payment.

You will need to complete the following in a timely manner as we get started on this collaborative process.

Before signing up for your Apple Developer Account, be sure to complete the following steps

Step 1: Create a business website

Make sure your business has a publicly accessible website with a domain name that matches your business name.

Step 2: Use a business email address

Apple doesn't accept personal email addresses like Gmail. Connect a business email to your domain. Info@yourstudioname.com would be accepted but, yourstudioname@gmail.com would not be accepted.

Step 3: Legal entity registration

Register your business as a legal entity, following Apple's guidelines for developer accounts. To join the Apple Developer Program, your business must be registered as a formal legal entity, (ie. corporation, LLC). Sole proprietorships or use of DBA or trade names are not accepted by Apple.

Step 4: Register for a D-U-N-S number

Obtain a D-U-N-S number for your business to establish credibility.

What is a D-U-N-S number?

A D-U-N-S Number is a unique identifier for your business that's often required for various business activities, including enrolling in the Apple Developer Program.

Start the registration process here: D-U-N-S Number Registration

πŸ‘‰ It will take at least one week for your D-U-N-S number to be registered.

Look Up a D-U-N-S Number

If you're unsure whether your business already has a D-U-N-S Number, you can look it up using the following link: D-U-N-S Number Lookup. This tool allows you to search for your company's D-U-N-S Number using your business details.

Set up an Apple ID and enable 2-Factor Authentication

You'll need an Apple ID to enroll in the Apple Developer Program. If you don't already have one, or if you prefer to create a separate Apple ID for your business, you can do so at Apple's Apple ID account page. Make sure to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security.

Remember that the Apple ID you use for registering in the Apple Developer Program will be the same one used for billing, login, and important developer account communications. It's a good practice to create a dedicated Apple ID for your business to keep things separate and organized.
