Your homepage hero is the most critical element of your website, serving as the primary visual and informational "hook" for your visitors. When you first sync your site, a generic hero is created automatically, so customizing it to reflect your unique brand is essential.
Accessing Your Hero Settings
To begin tailoring your "first fold," follow these steps within your dashboard:
Navigate to Pages: Go to your Site dashboard, under Channels click Pages.
Select Home: Click on the page labeled "Home" to open the editor.
Open Hero Settings: Click on the Homepage Hero section at the top of the page layout.
Settings Panel: The customization panel will automatically open on the right side of your screen.
Editing the Hero Content
The settings panel allows you to refine every aspect of the hero's message and visual impact:
Title: Update this to reflect your company slogan or brand motto to capture immediate interest.
Description: Add concise details about your luxury stays. Remember that in web design, "less is more" for maximum impact.
Background Options: You can choose between a single brand color or a high-impact image.
Single Color: Select the paint palette, click the pencil icon, and pick your specific brand color.
Image: Select the photo icon to choose from curated selections, the Unsplash catalog, or your own files.
Pro Tip: Always use high-resolution pictures, with a recommended minimum size of 1920x1080px.
Showcasing Your Properties
You can integrate your inventory directly into the hero to drive immediate bookings:
Toggle Gallery: Use the "Show Property Gallery" toggle to display your properties.
Select Specific Homes: If you prefer not to show all properties, click "Select Properties" and check only those you wish to feature.
Reset: You can return to showing your full inventory at any time by selecting "Reset to Default".
Saving and Reviewing
Once you are satisfied with your adjustments:
Save: Click the Save button at the top right.
Preview: Click View Site next to the save button to see the live changes.
Please note that it may take a few minutes for the live site to fully update.
