Video Transcript may use credits. Upload source, video length, translation, and export options can depend on your plan.
Use Video Transcripts when you need a readable text version of the dialogue or narration in a video.
Transcripts are useful for reviewing exact wording, copying quotes, creating notes, preparing captions, translating content, or searching through long dialogue or narration faster.
Open Video Transcripts
Go to My Workspace.
Open Video Transcripts, or open the Transcript tab inside a video workspace if you already created a Video Summary.
You can find Video Transcripts on the home page with other WayinVideo tools.
Upload or import your video
Add a video by uploading a file, pasting a YouTube link, or using another supported video link.
After adding your video, WayinVideo will prepare the transcript. Processing is very fast, even hours-long videos are typically transcribed in just a few minutes.
For best results, use a video with clear speech and limited background noise. If the audio is hard to hear, use Speech Enhancer before creating transcript-based results.
Read the transcript
After the transcript is ready, open the Transcript tab.

View timestamps
Jump to the matching part of the video
Search for words or phrases
Review subtitle text
Download the transcript if available
Use timestamps when you want to verify a quote, review the surrounding context, or return to an important explanation.
Search within the transcript
Use transcript search when you know a word, phrase, name, topic, or quote that appears in the dialogue or narration.
For example, you can search for:
A speaker name
A product name
A technical term
A repeated phrase
A question
A quote you want to reuse
A topic discussed in the video
If you want to search for something visual, such as a character appearing on screen, a gesture, an action, a scene, or an emotional moment, use Find Moments instead.
When to use transcripts
Use Video Transcripts when you want to:
Copy exact quotes
Search dialogue or narration
Create study notes
Prepare captions or subtitles
Translate dialogue or narration
Review a long talk, podcast, webinar, lecture, or meeting
Create written material from a video
