We’ve learned how to add a branch, but what happens when we want to assign specific branches to users on the WebCargo platform? Find out how to do this by reading on below.

  1. Navigate to the User page

First click on ‘Settings’ > ‘Users’ then select ‘Users’ from the dropdown. When the list of users appears, you will see that to the left-hand side there’s a tab called ‘Actions.’ Click on the pencil and paper icon ‘Edit User’ icon.

2. Assign users to a Branch

You will then be redirected to the user details page, where you can edit and change many things, and assign a branch to the user.

From the "Branch" dropdown select the corresponding user branch, then click on the green “Save” button.

Important: If you apply a branch to a specific user, this user will only be able to see quotes that are generated for their own branch e.g, if a user is assigned to the branch New York, then this user will only see quotations issued by themselves or other users located in the New York branch.

3. Assign existing quotes to branches

If the user already has quotes created, and now decides to implement branches, the system will ask whether or not to assign existing quotes by this user to the relevant branch.

Simply select OK, and all quotes created previously by this user will be associated to the corresponding branch.

Great work! You’re making great progress with branches. Find out how to manage user access with branches here.

Not able to access branches? Contact a member of our team now by clicking on the chat bubble in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. We’ll talk you through how you can get these on your account.
